Believed to be the UK's oldest oak tree, the Bowthorpe Oak has an estimated age of over 1,000 years. It's magnificent grandeur boasts the largest girth of a pedunculate oak in the UK, measuring a staggering 13.3m. In fact it is so wide that it's hollow interior has even been used to host dinner parties by the then Squire of Bowthorpe in the 1770s.
